This term in Biology Class we learned about cells. We learned about the cell theory and how it developed, the discoveries of cells and also microscopes. We research and discussed more about it and learn about prokaryotes and eukaryotes. We learn how eukaryotes evolve from prokaryotes and the characteristics of both of them. We also learn the differences about animals and plants cell and the different organelles both of them have. We discussed more about diffusion and osmosis. Besides that, we also made a scientific report on an experiment related with potatoes which explains and help us understand better about osmosis. After learning that, we learned about the cell cycle which has phases such as interphase, G1, S, G2 mitosis (prophase, metaphase, anaphase, telophase), and cytokinesis. We learned a lot about how important it is for us. We also discussed about photosynthesis and cellular respiration and how both of them are related.

       Between all those learning, I had a lot of difficulties that I have to face. This is the first term of being a high school student and it's still hard for me to adapt to the situation. There are a lot of new things I have to learn and manage. I'm not used to learning this fast especially in biology, there are a lot of things I have to learn and those things such as cells and organelles are very hard for me to understand because they're so complicated. Since this is the first term, I still haven't get used to high school work like how fast and big steps we're taking compared to middle school. I wasn't able to manage my time wisely and be responsible for all of my work and assignments. But, because I was able to follow the class properly and I'm comfortable enough with the way my teacher teaches me, I get through all my difficulties for this first term. I got a lot of help from my teacher and classmates.

        For next term, there are so many things I want and need to improve in order to do better. I want to be able to participate actively on any discussions for this class. I want to be able to ask questions when I have to or when I am confused with anything. I want to understand better about all the topics we're going to learn about. I want to be more responsible and manage my time wisely, I need to stop procrastinating when I have a lot of work to do. I want to be more focused and motivated to study. That is all that I need to do to be better in term 2.
